In a bizarre collaboration that challenges usual predictions, Ubisoft has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the formal release, "A mysterious encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of banned practices and monstrous changes resonate through the shadows." The storyline features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret group.

The mission focuses on "peculiar tests and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Metamorphoses

The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Extra Material

Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an special katana in addition to multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
